Motive Power Resources, Inc. Approved for Illinois REV Tax Credit Program

Motive Power Resources, Inc. is proud to announce that it has been approved by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) for the Reimagining Energy and Vehicles in Illinois (REV) Tax Credit Program. This approval marks a significant step forward in the company’s commitment to job creation, economic growth, and investment in Illinois.

Under the REV Tax Credit Program, Motive Power Resources, Inc. has committed to:

  • Creating sixteen (16) new full-time jobs at its facility located at 113 Industrial Drive, Minooka, Illinois, above the existing baseline of forty (40) full-time employees.
  • Retaining forty (40) full-time jobs at the facility.
  • Making a capital investment of at least $3,218,000 to support business growth and expansion.

“This approval under the REV Tax Credit Program is a testament to our dedication to strengthening our workforce, expanding our operations, and contributing to the local economy,” said Steven Bomba, President of Motive Power Resources, Inc. “We are excited about the opportunities this program provides and look forward to fulfilling our commitments to job creation, growth and investment.”

The capital investment and job creation commitments are expected to be met by the end of 2027. In return, Motive Power Resources, Inc. will be eligible to receive annual tax credits for up to ten (10) years, with an option to apply for an additional ten-year renewal. These benefits include payroll tax withholding credits, training cost reimbursements, and income tax credits associated with construction wages and qualified property investments.
